As we work on our clients’ web site designs, they usually get comfortable enough to ask us about their computer problems or for tips. Since we’ve noticed that some of our cilents own HPs and Compaqs, we thought the following recall was worth posting.
The Lithium-Ion batteries used in Hewlett-Packard and Compaq notebook computers can overheat which poses a fire and burn hazard to consumers. The recall affects batteries with several different bar codes on them. Visit the CPSC (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) web site for the complete recall notice which includes a product image, list of affected computer models, and list of recalled battery bar codes. Contact HP to receive a free replacement.
