We were looking at the possiblity of purchasing an Acer notebook when we came across this recall and thought we’d share it with our clients.
The recalled Acer Aspire notebook models are AS3410, AS3410T, AS3810T, AS3810TG, AS3810TZ and AS3810TZG, but not all units are affected. An internal microphone wire under the palm rest can short circuit and overheat which poses a burn hazard. Consumers should contact Acer to determine if their unit is included in the recall and receive a free repair.
