We know how popular HP is so as always, we’re looking out for our clients and thought we should pass this along.
Originally recalled in May 2009, HP continues to receive reports of the lithium-ion batteries overheating causing personal injury and property damage. HP, therefore, has expanded the recall.
The recall affects batteries with several different bar codes on them used in Hewlett-Packard and Compaq notebook computers. Visit the CPSC (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) web site for the complete recall notice which includes a product image, list of affected computer models, and list of recalled battery bar codes. Contact HP to receive a free replacement.
