Somewhere along the line, Facebook added a new feature to disable a page’s ability to like another page when surfing around the web. If you are logged into Facebook and using it as your page, and you are surfing around, instead of being able to see another site’s Like Button, Facebook Feed, or whatever Facebook plugin they are using, you will see either broken content or a message that says…
Switch back to [personal profile] to use this social plugin.
What does that mean? Are we not allowed to like pages as pages anymore? Well, no, you can still like Facebook pages as a page, but they haven’t made it any easier to do. You need to go to that site’s Facebook page and, while using Facebook as your page, like it there.
So repeat after me everyone…
Thanks for the new feature Facebook!
