I found this interesting blog post about resetting your Firefox browser.
Since you never know when you might have a problem with a browser, I bookmarked the post. But, looking at it today, I figured I should share. I know I’m not the only Firefox user among my clients, family, and friends, so this information might come in handy. Here’s how it’s done…
Go to the Firefox menu bar (orange button with down arrow in the upper left corner) and select Help > Troubleshooting Information. Then click the “Reset Firefox” button in the box in the upper right of the screen that is displayed. Confirm that you want to reset via the slide-down prompt and then click “Done” when Firefox lets you know it has finished resetting.
The reset doesn’t remove everything. You will still have your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and form auto-fill information.
You will lose all extensions, themes, and site specific preferences. All open websites will also be closed.
