At the end of August 2011, Google announced that it was working on offering their Google Apps offline. Yes, you heard me right, offline. Google is already offering Gmail and Calendar offline and Docs has some offline functionality with more coming in the future. To access these, click the gear icon in the top right corner of the web app and choose the offline access option.

Usually my son David, the High Aspirations, Inc. guru of games, picks things out, but he’s a freshman in High School now and I can’t nail him down long enough to help out his Mom! The Doodle 4 Google contest invites students in the United States, grades K-12, to use their artistic talents to redesign Google’s homepage logo.
